Resin Bound Pathway Installation
Smooth, firm, slip-resistant pathways that drain through themselves and stay weed-free. Ideal for garden paths, side access and approaches — with a 10-year written guarantee.
What you get
Paths that are easy to walk and easy to keep
A resin bound path gives a continuous, even walking surface with reliable grip and no loose stone — a clear upgrade on gravel, worn slabs or muddy routes.
Firm and even to walk
A seamless, trowelled surface with no loose chippings, wobbly slabs or trip points — comfortable and accessible for everyone.
Reliable grip
The textured aggregate finish holds traction in wet and frosty conditions, and can be specified with extra anti-slip where a path slopes.
Drains in place
Rain soaks through the permeable surface rather than running off or sitting in puddles along the route.
No weeds, no scatter
Fully bound stone means no weeds pushing through and no gravel migrating onto borders and lawns.
Follows curves cleanly
A trowelled surface shapes neatly around beds, curves and corners for a path that looks intentional.
Matches the wider scheme
Use the same blend as a driveway or patio so paths read as part of one connected design.

Why choose us
Narrow surfaces show every shortcut — so we take none
Paths are narrow, which means edges make up a big share of the surface. If they aren’t contained properly, a path is the first thing to crumble. We edge both sides cleanly and prepare a base that drains, so the path stays firm, level and intact.
Part of our resin bound surfacing service — see the full range and how it fits together.
We look at how the path is used and where it sits — a shaded side-return, a sloped approach, a main route to the door — and specify grip, falls and drainage to suit, rather than laying a single generic spec everywhere.
Curves, gradients and transitions to steps or thresholds are where paths often look untidy. Trowel-applied resin bound lets us shape these cleanly so the finished path follows your garden rather than cutting awkwardly across it.

Work process
How we install your resin bound pathway
The same proven sequence as our larger surfaces, focused on the clean edges and drainage that make a path last.
Survey and design
We assess the route, levels, grip needs and drainage, and help you choose a blend that matches the rest of your scheme.
Base preparation
We prepare or repair the base to the correct depth and fall so the path drains and stays firm.
Edging both sides
We contain both edges of the path for clean lines and to protect the narrow surface from crumbling.
Mix and trowel
Resin and aggregate are mixed at the correct ratio and trowelled around curves and transitions to an even finish.
Cure and inspect
The path cures in around 24 hours. We check finish, edges, grip and drainage before handover.
Tidy handover
We clear all waste, leave the area tidy and explain simple ongoing care.
Materials
Trusted, industry-recognised systems
We only specify UV-stable resin and graded aggregate from
established suppliers, because the quality of the materials decides how well the surface
drains, holds colour and lasts.
FAQs
Resin bound pathway questions
Can a resin path be laid over my existing path?
Often yes, if the existing surface is sound. Overlaying a solid base saves time and cost. Where the base is broken or won’t drain, we’ll set out the options rather than laying over a problem.
Is a sloped path safe in winter?
The textured aggregate keeps grip in wet and icy conditions, and we can add an anti-slip aggregate on steeper or shaded sections for extra traction.
Will weeds grow through it?
No. The fully bound surface has no open joints, so there’s nothing for weeds to grow through and no jointing sand to maintain.
Can the path match my driveway?
Yes. We can use the same aggregate blend across path, patio and driveway for one continuous look.
How long until it's usable?
Typically ready for foot traffic within hours and fully cured within around 24 hours, depending on the weather during installation.
