Resin Surfacing by Property Type

A family driveway, a retail forecourt and a school playground place completely different demands on a surface. The resin is the same family of material — the specification, thickness, grip and base are not. This page explains how we build for each.

Same material, different specification

Load, footfall, grip requirements and accessibility standards all change what gets built beneath the surface. Getting this right is why a commercial car park doesn’t fail in two years and a school path meets its obligations. Here’s how the three settings differ.

FAQs

Specification questions

Is commercial resin a different material?

The resin and aggregate are the same family. What changes is the specification — depth, base construction and aggregate grading are built for heavier, more repetitive loads, which is what makes a commercial surface last.

Do you handle accessibility requirements?

Yes. For public-sector and commercial work we specify surfaces with the grip and evenness that wheelchair access and safety obligations require, and we’ll advise on what applies to your site.

Can you work around a live business or school?

Yes — commercial and public-sector work is routinely phased around trading hours, term times or public access. We plan the programme with you before starting.

Does the property type change the price?

It changes the specification, which changes the price. A car park base is built differently from a domestic driveway base. Your quote is itemised so you can see exactly what the specification includes.
