Resin Bound Patio Installation

Turn your patio into a smooth, seamless outdoor space that drains beautifully and stays low-maintenance. Bespoke aggregate blends, no loose stones, and a 10-year written guarantee.

What you get

A patio that looks designed, not just paved

A resin bound patio gives you a flat, comfortable, weed-free surface that flows with your garden — without the joints, wobble and upkeep of slabs or block paving.

Smooth underfoot

A trowelled, seamless finish with no raised edges, rocking slabs or gaps — comfortable for bare feet, garden furniture and wheels alike.

Drains where it falls

The permeable surface lets rain soak through instead of pooling, so there are no puddles on the patio after a shower.

Weed-free joints

There are no joints. Nothing for weeds or moss to colonise, and no jointing sand to top up each year.

Colour to suit the garden

Choose from dozens of natural and decorative aggregate blends to complement your planting, paving and the back of the house.

Flows into paths and steps

A patio can run seamlessly into matching paths, steps and thresholds for a cohesive outdoor scheme.

Easy to keep clean

A sweep and an occasional light pressure wash is all it needs to stay looking fresh season after season.

Why choose us

Patio surfaces fail at the edges and the base — we don't cut either

Most disappointing resin patios come down to two things: a base that wasn’t right, and edges that weren’t contained. We prepare the foundation to suit a patio’s lighter loading and drainage, and we edge the surface properly so it can’t chip or lift where it meets borders, lawn and steps.

We’ll talk through how you actually use the space — dining, seating, a route to the garden — and specify the aggregate and finish around that, including extra grip near steps or a shaded, damp corner.

Because a patio sits right next to the house and your planting, the colour choice matters. Our consultation helps you pick a blend that works with brickwork and landscaping rather than fighting it, so the finished surface matches what you pictured.

You get a fixed, itemised quote with the cost per m² shown, and the patio is covered by our 10-year written guarantee on workmanship and materials.

Clear pricing, no surprises

  • Fixed written quote with cost per m² shown up front
  • Ground preparation, edging and drainage included — not bolted on later
  • Fully bound, permeable surface with no loose stones
  • SUDS-compliant build, so most installs need no planning permission
  • 10-year written guarantee on workmanship and materials

A resin bound patio makes sense if…

  • Your slabs rock, lift or stainA seamless bound surface removes the movement, the trip hazards and the grubby jointing that come with ageing slabs.
  • Water pools on the patioA permeable surface clears standing water by draining through itself rather than holding puddles.
  • You're tired of weeding the jointsWith no joints at all, there’s nothing for weeds and moss to grow through.
  • You want the patio to match a new driveway or pathThe same aggregate blend can run across driveway, path and patio for one continuous, considered look.
  • You want a comfortable, level surfaceA trowelled finish is even and firm underfoot — good for furniture, footing and accessibility.

Work process

How we install your resin bound patio

The same disciplined sequence we use on every bound surface, tuned to the lighter loading and drainage of a patio.

01

Survey and design

We assess the area, levels and drainage, discuss how you use the space and help you choose a blend that suits the garden.

02

Base preparation

We prepare or repair the base to the right depth and fall so water drains correctly and the surface stays flat.

03

Edging

We contain the perimeter — against borders, lawn and steps — for clean lines and protected edges.

04

Mix and trowel

Resin and aggregate are mixed at the correct ratio and trowelled to a smooth, even patio finish.

05

Cure and inspect

The surface cures in around 24 hours. We check finish, edges and drainage before handover.

06

Tidy handover

We clear all waste, leave the garden tidy and explain simple ongoing care.

Materials

Trusted, industry-recognised systems

We only specify UV-stable resin and graded aggregate from
established suppliers, because the quality of the materials decides how well the surface
drains, holds colour and lasts.

FAQs

Resin bound patio questions

Can you lay a resin patio over my existing slabs or concrete?

Often yes, if the existing surface is sound and drains adequately. Overlaying saves time and cost. If the base has failed or won’t drain, we’ll explain the options rather than laying over a problem.

Will a resin patio be slippery when wet?

The textured aggregate keeps grip in wet conditions. For shaded or damp areas, or near steps, we can add an anti-slip aggregate for extra traction.

Does a resin patio need planning permission?

A permeable resin patio generally doesn’t raise the planning issues that impermeable surfaces can, because water drains through it. We confirm the specifics during your survey.

How long before we can use it?

The surface is typically ready for foot traffic within hours and fully cured within around 24 hours, depending on weather during installation.

How do I keep it looking good?

Sweep occasionally and give it a light pressure wash now and then. There’s no weeding or re-sanding to do.
